What the October Solar Eclipse Means for 2025
Will America Be Caught Up in This Global Judgment?
The October 2nd solar eclipse isn't just "yesterday's news." This eclipse brought with it a warning of judgment comparable to the flood in Noah's time. As I explained in this post, a "Methuselah sign" appeared about 969 years ago to warn the world of judgment in 2024-25. Since this sign is fixed in the sky, it has remained speechless, and yet it seems to have influenced events on the earth at 323-year intervals.
My study of the recent eclipse and all the related synchronicities sheds much light on the reasons behind the impending judgment. This judgment already seems to be upon us as global tensions have increased greatly, with threats of a regional war in the Middle East and the potential for a nuclear war with Russia. The eclipse also reveals who will be subject to the wrath of God. This eclipse may continue to be relevant until as late as the next full solar eclipse, which we won't see until February 17th, 2026.
Eclipses are harbingers of significant transitions, but the key is to understand what they mean. I have not done what might be seen as a traditional astrological analysis because to me, that would only amount to a lot of guesswork. I did take into consideration all the astrological indicators while looking to the Bible to ascertain their meanings. In addition, I looked at the eclipse path, the area in question (Easter Island in this case), the history of that area up to the present, and relevant world events that happened near the time of the eclipse. This means I had to do a lot of research and that this will be a long read, but it will be well worth your time.
I can assure you that the insights I receive don't come only from my own intellect, but from God. This doesn't mean I'm infallible, but it does mean I have an inner assurance about this that comes from the Holy Spirit. I would describe it like this. Suppose you’re lost in the woods. You thought you might be on the trail, but it’s an old trail with a lot of overgrowth so it’s hard to follow. Then you see a tree with a strip of white paint on it. That tells you that maybe you’re still on the trail, so you keep following what you think is the most likely path. Then you see another tree with white paint on it, which confirms that you’re headed in the right direction. You take courage and persist until you see another trail marker, and another. Another term for what I’ve just described is “following the rabbit trail,” but in this case I found many “trail markers” which confirmed that this prophetic message is not coming from my subjective experience but has come to our 3D plane from a higher reality. Even though some of these signs and synchronicities are subtle, they’re also unmistakable once we recognize them.
This is intended to be a message of encouragement for God's people. We have no reason to fear when we're in right standing with him. I believe God will confirm this prophecy throughout the remainder of this month and in 2025.
Incidentally, with no disrespect to the Rapanui people who call their island Rapa Nui, I will refer to this island by the English name Easter Island throughout this post.
Eclipse Symbolism
The map below shows the path of the total eclipse that occurred on October 2nd, 2024. The area shaded in red is the umbra or the area of total eclipse, and the area outlined in yellow is the penumbra or the area of partial eclipse. Out of all the places in the world, we would not expect an eclipse, while nearly at its zenith, to pass directly over Easter Island. It's almost as if God intended to direct our attention to this remote island and its history.
Ancient peoples often feared eclipses and saw them as signs of judgment. Seeing the Sun go dark during the day tended to have a strong psychological effect on them.
Our ancestors didn't view everything in materialistic terms, and neither should we. We've been told by the media and academia that eclipses have no spiritual meaning because they can be explained by science. Only astrologers and those who follow them attribute significance to signs in the heavens. Most Christians reject that idea. That being said, the phrase I just used, "signs in the heavens," is a biblical one. After all, God created the lights in the heavens so that they could serve as signs (Gen. 1:14). I explained in this post why Christians should pay attention to such signs or, at the least, not simply reject them altogether.
God didn't "change his mind" about using the astral bodies as signs simply because most people today no longer believe in such things, nor because there are many astrologers or spiritualists who misread the signs and either offer vague predictions or give specific ones that nearly all turn out to be false.
According to Scripture, one of the primary signs by which God communicates through the heavens is the solar eclipse. God's prophets associated them with his sovereignty and judgment (Isa. 13:9-11, Eze. 32:8, Joel 2:10, 31, 3:15-16, Mark 13:24-25, Amos 8:9, Rev. 6:12-13). Even though eclipses bring temporary darkness, they symbolize not the triumph of darkness and evil, but the exposure of it. Psalm 139: 12 states, "even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you." God appeared before Moses in thick darkness (Ex. 20:21). If we’re able to enter the presence of God, we have nothing to fear on this earth, including an eclipse and whatever it might mean.
In some cases, the Bible associates eclipses with the casting down of stars. Stars represent authorities, particularly heavenly angels (Jdg. 5:20, Job 38:7) or fallen angels (Jude 13). These angels, in turn, are symbolic of individuals or groups of people. For example, Jesus described the seven stars in his hand as the angels who had been assigned to the seven churches (Rev. 1:20). Under the principle of "as above, so below" (cf. Matt. 6:10, "on earth as it is in heaven"), we may associate falling stars with the downfall of earthly authorities.
The courses that these meteors follow are not random, nor are the motions of the Earth, the Moon, the planets, the Sun, or the stars. The Bible proclaims that God named the stars, and that he determined the positions and courses of each celestial body (Ps. 8:3, 147:4, Isa. 40:26). In fact, the orbits of planets in the solar system are so precise that astronomers can predict their positions and courses millions of years into the future!
The Incredible Synchronicities Behind This Eclipse
Before now, I had never paid much attention to eclipses or even to astronomy, let alone astrology. Even so, I learned about this eclipse through my social media feed in a way that definitely caught my attention due to all the incredible synchronicities. These are some of the conjunctions and coincidences associated with this eclipse:
The Sun and Moon were in conjunction at 10 degrees, 3 minutes latitude.
The planet Mercury was in conjunction at 11 degrees.
As has been mentioned, the narrow path of the total eclipse passed directly over Easter Island near its zenith. The only other land area in which people were able to witness the total eclipse was in the southern parts of Chile and Argentina.
The dwarf planet Makemake was in conjunction at 10 degrees, 17 minutes latitude. This is highly significant because the Easter Islanders worshiped Makemake as the creator of the Universe and of humans, and as the god of fertility. I will have more to say about this deity below.
The eclipse occurred in the constellation of Libra, which is associated with judgment.
The eclipse occurred in the south lunar node.
The eclipse was associated with unusually high number of meteor showers.
It occurred on the exact day of the New Moon. A New Moon represents new beginnings, with illumination gradually increasing until the Full Moon.
The eclipse occurred on the day of the Jewish Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). Trumpets were sounded to call God's people together (Num. 10:1-9). This was the day when God called for his people to remember their covenant with him, and to begin ten days of repentance, culminating on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), which fell on October 12th, 2024. The fact that this eclipse occurred on the Feast of Trumpets indicates to me that not only did God particularly want to call our attention to this event, but also that it is a call to repentance.
Astrological and Astronomical Correlations
Annular Eclipse
The October 2nd eclipse was an annular or "ring of fire" eclipse. This means the Moon was surrounded by a circle of sunlight as it passed over the Sun due to having been at a distant point in its orbit from the Earth. The perimeter of light in such eclipses may be interpreted as sending a message of hope in the midst of the darkness. The solar ring around the perimeter of the Moon looks like a halo. With regard to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the halo is symbolic of resurrection. As we shall see, not only Easter Island but also the dwarf planet Makemake have been associated with Easter and thereby with Christ's resurrection through the timing of their discoveries.
The Planet Mercury
Since Mercury is primarily associated with communication, this suggests that God had a message to communicate. It makes sense that Mercury has been associated with divine communication because not only is it the planet closest to the Sun, it often passes directly in front of the Sun. Lacking proper safety equipment, nobody would have been able to see it without going blind.
Mercury is also the fastest moving planet. This means that it frequently comes into alignment with other planets. Also, viewed from the Earth, Mercury moves up and down from the horizon. It's not surprising, therefore, that the Greeks and Romans associated this planet with communication and with Mercury (Hermes to the Greeks), the messenger of the gods.
Mercury was also considered to be a god of commerce and financial gain. This association makes sense if we see the Sun as the source, Mercury as the planet with which other planets most often align (comparable to money or a unit of exchange), and the outer planets as representing diverse groups of people. That was very symbolic but I hope it made sense.
Since the mythological meaning of Mercury seems to be linked with how people viewed the planet through their own eyes, I believe it was not only inevitable but also part of God's plan that humans would identify Mercury as a linchpin connecting not only God (or the gods) with people, but also connecting people with one another whether through communication or through commerce.
In an astrological sense, I see Mercury as being comparable to a "signal booster" facilitating connections from the Sun outward, as far as the constellations.
Libra and the Methuselah Star
Libra was once considered a part of the constellation Scorpio. We can still see evidence of this in the names of the two brightest stars in Libra. The brightest one, Beta Librae, is formally named Zubeneschamali, which means “the northern claw” in Arabic. The second brightest, Alpha Librae, was originally named Zubenelgenubi, meaning in Arabic, “the southern claw.” The stars in this area were later reimagined as representing weighing scales, which is how Libra became recognized as a separate constellation alongside Scorpio. The word “libra” means scales or balance. The fact that this eclipse occurred in Libra signifies that it was associated with judgment or restoring balance.
A biblical reference to this constellation seems to be present in the Book of Daniel. For context, the Babylonians at this time recognized the constellation of Libra. According to Daniel 5:5, the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the wall in Babylonian King Belteshazzar's palace. The king called in Daniel, who saw the words "Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin." He interpreted them as meaning that God had weight Belteshazzar's kingdom in the balance and found it wanting, so the kingdom was being divided and gifted to the Medes and Persians. That same night, Darius the Mede conquered Babylon and killed Belteshazzar. This is reminiscent of what Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:38…
For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.
Mene was a word with alternate spellings in different languages, and referred to a common unit of weight in the Ancient Near East, equivalent to approximately 1.25 pounds. In classical Latin, the approximate equivalent of a mina was the libra, a word associated with the constellation and, again, with judgment.
Interestingly, there's a star in the constellation Libra named Methuselah which astrologers have estimated to be seemingly if not actually, even older than the Universe itself!
Methuselah is the oldest person mentioned in the Bible, having lived to the age of 969. His name means "when he dies, it shall be sent." Methuselah died shortly before God sent the flood to destroy the sinful generation of Noah's time. Therefore, it seems appropriate that a star named Methuselah would appear in the same constellation that is associated with judgment. The existence of this star in Libra inspired me to do further research (see this post if you haven't already), by which God graciously allowed me to discover the historical and present-day significance of the supernova event of 1054 and the resulting nebula which we know as the Crab Nebula.
Meteor Showers
When our ancestors saw meteors, they assumed them to be falling stars which, as mentioned above, is also how they're described in the Bible. Of course, we all know that stars don't literally fall from the sky.
As someone who has never studied astronomy, I was surprised to learn that the association of meteors with stars is not entirely without justification. Since meteors consistently follow the track of the comet from which they broke off, each meteor shower appears to originate from a particular constellation or star. This is how NASA explains meteor showers:
Meteor showers are usually named after a star or constellation that is close to where the meteors appear to originate in the sky. Perhaps the most famous are the Perseids, which peak around August 12 every year. Every Perseid meteor is a tiny piece of the comet Swift-Tuttle, which swings by the Sun every 135 years. Other notable meteor showers include the Leonids, associated with comet Tempel-Tuttle; the Aquarids and Orionids, linked to comet Halley, and the Taurids, associated with comet Encke. Most of this comet debris is between the size of a grain of sand and a pea and burns up in the atmosphere before reaching the ground.
Concurrent with this eclipse was the Southern Taurids meteor shower (Sep. 23rd to Dec. 8th) and the Orionids meteor shower (Sep. 26th to Nov. 22nd). In addition, the Leonids, Geminids, and Ursids meteor showers occurred in November through December. These constellations are depicted by a bull, a hunter, a lion, twins, and a bear, respectively. Interestingly, these constellations all represent powerful, masculine people or animals that can easily be associated with human authority figures.
Again, the "stars" falling from the sky can be associated with the removal of these authority figures from power through divine intervention. We can see this being fulfilled in the real world, and not just with the pending transfer of presidential power in the USA. Many lies and injustices are being exposed. People across the political spectrum are angry about being denied health care that they paid for. This is undermining people and institutions that had previously exerted great influence and power.
The South Lunar Node
God's kingdom sprang forth not from the northern kingdom of Israel, but from the southern kingdom of Judah. The Bible associates the south with warmth, wind, fertility, the divine feminine, emotions, curiosity, abundance, and blessings (Job 37:9, 17, Ps. 126:4). God told Abraham to look southward toward his blessings (Gen. 13:14-15). The Queen of Sheba with her beauty and wealth represented the south when she paid a visit to Solomon (1 Kings 10:1-10). Jesus referred to her as the "Queen of the South" (Mt. 12:42, Lk. 11:31).
The Bible associates the north with power and authority (Job 37:22, Ps. 48:2, Isa. 14:13), and yet God appointed Judah to rule from the south. I believe this is because God bypassed Jacob's first three sons due to their moral failures and instead chose a more "feminine," fourth born son.
Astrologers associate the south node with the past. This makes sense to me because whereas the divine feminine may find herself enmeshed in the pains of her past (cf. Gen. 3:16), the divine masculine's role is to lead the way forward.
Makemake the Dwarf Planet
Makemake is a dwarf planet which is about 60% of the size of Pluto, located in the Kuiper Belt. Astronomers discovered this planet a few days after Easter in 2005 and assigned it the code name "Easter Bunny." In 2008, the astronomers who discovered it gave it the official name of Makemake, after the primary deity of the island named, in English, Easter Island. Thus, this island and its past civilization have been associated with Easter on two occasions based on the time of discovery. Through that holiday, we’ve also associated them with the resurrection of Christ.
Since we haven’t known about this dwarf planet for very long, it’s astrological significance is still being studied. Nonetheless, there seems to be a consensus about it being associated with nature. The website yourtango.com describes Makemake as follows:
Makemake symbolizes a connection to environmental wisdom and relates to a love of nature and the beauty around you. It also correlates to environmental activism and protecting the Earth.
I am not simply basing this on the beliefs of modern-day astrologers. I believe this dwarf planet challenges us to take care of our planet because on the same day that it was discovered (March 31st, 2005), the UN’s Millennium Ecosystem Assessment issued a report warning potentially irreversible biodiversity loss and a global environmental crisis. As far as I know, I’m the first person who’s made this connection between Makemake and environmental concerns. Beyond that, the fact that Makemake was seen as the creator links this dwarf planet with both humans and nature.
It seems that Makemake is associated with natural disasters, though I believe it could conversely be associated with planetary blessings if humans begin to do right by our environment. The first and third most costly hurricane seasons in US history coincided with the discovery of Makemake in 2005 and this eclipse alignment with Makemake in 2024. New Orleans and surrounding areas were hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005; the eclipse on October 2nd came only six days after Hurricane Helene made landfall and only seven days before Hurricane Milton hit Florida.
Two of the deadliest earthquakes in recent history struck in 2005, one in northern Sumatra and the other in the Kashmir region of Pakistan. The one in northern Sumatra occurred on March 28, only three days before Makemake was discovered.
Thus far, 2024 hasn’t been a bad year in terms of global earthquake activity. That being said, it’s usually non-Western nations that experience the most earthquakes and suffer the most casualties and damage from them. If America is a primary target of judgment, hurricanes are all that’s needed to send the message.
Again, since eclipses have long lasting effects, we may see an unusually high number of natural disasters in 2025 if humans collectively don’t begin to change for the better.
Historical Correlations
Makemake the Deity
For reasons that I will explain below under "The True History of Easter Island," we don't much about the Rapanui people, their civilization, or their history. As was common among indigenous peoples, the Rapanui practiced ancestor worship and animism. We know they carved large ancestral statues known as moai, for which the island is famous.
The Rapanui honored a deity named Makemake as the creator of all things and people, and as their fertility god. They also had lesser deities. Makemake presided over the birdman competition, which the people held annually to select a new chief. The contestants had to descended a steep cliff and swim across shark-infested waters to find the first bird egg laid on a small island.
The people sculpted images of Makemake. As depicted below, he had a human-like appearance. In fact, he didn't look much different from how they perceived their ancestors.
Christians have long condemned indigenous peoples for creating idols because it is forbidden in Exodus 20:4. That being said, we continue even now to struggle with the question of whether or in what instances it is permissible to create an image or icon of Jesus or God the Father. Also, in order to truly be faithful to the Law of Moses, we would have to ban all art because this same commandment forbids the creation of all representations of that anything present in heaven, on earth, or in the seas.
The Bible tells us that God revealed knowledge of himself to all people through the creation (Ps. 19:1-4, Rom. 1:19-20). I believe he gave the Rapanui a partial revelation of himself as their Creator and Provider through the mythological deity, Makemake. Having had no knowledge of the Bible or of Christianity before the arrival of Europeans, they could only have imagined what this creator and fertility god might have looked like.
Countless tales exist of how primitive people somehow became aware of important biblical truths long before the gospel was ever preached to them. In the book, Eternity in Their Hearts," Don Richardson gave many real-life examples of how God had prepared people to receive the Christian gospel.
The reason why I'm focusing on Makemake and feel that it's appropriate to do so is because the dwarf planet named after this deity was in alignment with the eclipse. I'm not endorsing the Rapanui people's other religious practices, especially the other deities or the ancestor worship. For that matter, I think the Makemake cult itself, which was apparently the closest they came to worshiping the true Creator, became further corrupted with the initiation of the birdman competition because I don't think God would require people to put their lives at risk for a sporting event. Romans 1:25 tells us that all people chose to serve the creation instead of the creator.
For anyone who might have prayed to Makemake in sincerity as an invisible, eternal God and not as an image carved in stone, it can be argued that Christians share many of the same motives for praying to our heavenly Father. For example...
They saw him as the creator of the Universe, and also viewed him as having had human traits. These ideas are also present in Genesis 1. For me, this inspires gratitude for all my blessings, and a sense of connection with God. It also motivates me to look for the good in other people so that I might better appreciate them and honor their humanity.
As the Rapanui saw Makemake as their fertility god, I acknowledge God as my Provider. They prayed for whatever they needed, whether it was for rain, sunshine, good health, plant growth, for the migratory birds to arrive, or for other blessings. Christians are also expected to realize that we're dependent on God, and to pray that he will provide for our needs (Ps. 127:1, Phil. 4:6-7).
Unfortunately, many Christians make a blanket assumption that all pagan religious beliefs and ceremonies were evil. The Canaanite gods were inextricably linked with evil practices (Deut. 18:9-12). On the other hand, there are religions with divine beings who mainly promote compassion and peace. This speaks of the need for Christians missionaries to acquaint themselves with non-Christian religions and to be ready to take a nuanced approach to them.
Historically, the demonization of non-Christian religions has been associated with, and presented as a justification for the dehumanization and exploitation of their practitioners. This is why I've gone to considerable lengths to present the worship of Makemake not only in its historical context, but also in the context of the Bible's teachings.
A Christian may choose to dismiss Makemake as a demonic entity and think that the alignment of this dwarf planet can't possibly add any meaningful insight into this eclipse. If this applies to you, please take into consideration that if God is not happy with the "Christian" West as it exists today, perhaps he’s looking back on those past times with a sense of nostalgia. If so, that would explain why this eclipse is associated with judgment. The history of the Rapanui people seems to confirm this hypothesis…
The True History of Easter Island
As I explain the true history of Easter Island, I invite you to contemplate how God might have viewed the island and its history as the eclipse passed over it. Even though God is omniscient and not limited by time, he does invite us at times to try to see things from his perspective.
The popular history of Easter Island that many of us have been taught claims that the Rapanui population experienced a period of overpopulation followed by a population collapse due to overexploitation of the natural resources. Jared Diamond, in his bestselling book Collapse, hypothesized that the Rapanui destroyed their own environment to the extent that by around 1600, they fell into a downward spiral of warfare and even cannibalism. Allegedly, this resulted in population decline and the collapse of their civilization, including their written language. Thus according to this colonial narrative, the Rapanui people had only themselves to blame for loss of most of their former population and their civilization.
The population collapse theory has been questioned by scholars since at least 2016, until being completely debunked as of September 11th, 2024, when the latest study on this topic was published. Archaeogeneticist Kathrin Nägele stated that this study “serves as the final nail in the coffin of this collapse narrative.” The publication of this study less than one month before the October eclipse over Easter Island is another amazing eclipse synchronicity that no one could have planned or anticipated.
Multiple archaeological and genetic studies have confirmed that the island had a stably growing population from the 13th century until the first European contact in the 18th century. They had also continued to construct the moai statues until the early 1700s. They had overcome the environmental challenge of living on a small island by practicing a form of sustainable agriculture called rock gardening. Also, they were a peaceful people who only learned about war from the Europeans. The first known internal wars occurred only after 1722. For anyone who is interested in learning more about the actual history of the island, I have provided links to some articles here.
Even if Makemake was given its name in 2008 partly because of the highly predictable conjunction that took place during the October 2nd eclipse, nobody in 2008 could have anticipated that the history of Easter Island would be rewritten in this way. At that time, Easter Island's history would have been viewed only as a cautionary tale against the dangers of ecological destruction. What we know now is that the island's inhabitants fell victim to European colonialism and diseases. This is a timeline of the major events that brought about the collapse of their civilization:
1722, Easter Sunday - Three Dutch ships arrive. The islanders happily greeted them and press against them. Out of curiosity, some began to touch the white people's guns. This led to a barrage of gunfire, and some of the Rapanui were killed.
Multiple Dates - Diseases could break out after any contact with Europeans, and there were countless contacts. Bacteria, viruses, cholera, measles, diphtheria, smallpox, and the bubonic plague killed an estimated 80 to 90% of the population over time.
1750 - Contrary to the population collapse theory, research indicates that the Rapanui continued to build platforms for their moai statues until about this time.
1774 - British explorer James Cook arrived at the island. He found it to be virtually deserted, and particularly devoid of women. Undoubtedly, most of the islanders had gone into hiding in caves. Cook was the first person to have reported seeing overturned statues.
1789 - Easter Island appears on maps. Ship crews increasingly raid the island for food, lumber, and human resources.
1805 - A ship of seal hunters took 22 Rapanui men captive, intending for them to become crew members. When they were released from their shackles and taken on deck, all 22 of them jumped overboard.
1830 - Sailors from ships visiting the island are known to have been raping the women. The French author J.A. Moerenhout noted that there was "much trafficking in women" and that venereal disease was thought to be common on the island. The sexual exploitation likely was a problem long before and after this year.
1860s - Peruvians raided the island for slaves. They kidnapped over 1500 of the Rapanui people, including every member of the priestly class. This resulted in destruction of the culture, the folklore, and of any ability to translate the rongorongo script. Only those who were able to hide from them survived.
1862 - Leaving much to the imagination, author Grant McCall wrote that at least 53 vessels had made port at Easter Island by this time.
1864 - The first Christian missionary, Eugene Eyraud, first arrived in this year, 142 years after the island's discovery. The 19th century is said to have been the greatest century of missionary advance, but we must remember that this island was remote, and surely there was an oversight that went on for 64 years (sarcasm intended). Eyraud was reportedly able to convert all the islanders to Catholicism before he died in August 1868. He also put an end to the birdman competition.
1868 - By this year, all the statues on the island had been toppled, apart from the partially buried ones. There had been no reports of fallen moai in the original accounts from 1722. Some fell over due to earthquakes, but it is also known that the Rapanui themselves toppled some of them. Although the reasons are uncertain, we can only imagine how frustrated they might have been by how their ancestors had failed to protect them despite all the years and effort put into the construction and transportation of the moai. (The moai that we now see standing have since been re-erected).
1868 (continued) - Jean-Baptiste Dutrou-Bornier moved to the island and bought all the land to use as a sheep ranch. He got people out of the way by evacuating hundreds of Rapanui to Tahiti and the Gambier islands. He was murdered in 1876.
1877 - Largely due to Dutrou-Bornier's deportations, only 111 Rapanui were left on the island, including only 36 individuals who were able to bear offspring and continue the bloodline.
1888 - Easter Island is annexed to Chile. The Rapanui no longer owned their island, so the Chilean government leased it for use as a sheep ranch. The natives were confined to a small area on the west side of the island. They were walled in and not allowed to leave without permission. They owned nothing, but still they were happy (sarcasm).
1953 - The Chilean government refused to renew the sheep ranching lease and instead leased the island to their navy. By this time, the ranching operation had caused the deforestation of the last remaining trees.
1966 - Chile finally granted full citizenship to the inhabitants of Easter Island.
I don't know about you, but some parts of this tragic history moved me to tears when I first learned about it. I suppose it was typical for a nation like France to simultaneously send missionaries and business people representing commercial interests. Thankfully, the Rapanui were finally able to hear and accept the gospel. Other than that, however, things did not turn out well for them because their land was fraudulently taken from them at about the same time.
A Lesson From History
The Bible nearly always associates obedience to God with blessings even beyond the spiritual (Deut. 28). Preaching of the gospel and the pursuit of financial gain do not mix. As Jesus put it, we cannot serve both God and money (Matt. 6:24). We should seek to follow our Lord's example as described by Paul: "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich" (2 Cor. 8:9).
These are some of the most significant conjunctions that occurred during the October 2nd eclipse:
The Sun, representing God, Jesus, Creator, masculine role.
The Moon, representing Jesus, the Church, fertility, feminine role.
Easter Island, where indigenous people suffered greatly under colonial exploitation.
Makemake, the Rapanui god of creation and fertility. Symbolic of God's interaction with humanity in pre-Christian times.
When we reflect on how all of these 3D realm entities came into alignment, I think the symbolic meaning becomes rather clear. One of these things — the exploitation of the Rapanui people — doesn’t match. When we combine this information with the major events that took place around the time of the eclipse, I feel like the story kind of tells itself.
I want to remind readers of the broader significance of the year 2024 since it came 969 years after the symbolic birth of Methuselah in the form of the Crab Nebula. God sent the flood in Noah's time when Methuselah died at 969 years of age. Again, in relation to that, please read this post if you haven't already done so.
If all the exploitation, abuse, and neglect that the Rapanui people experienced had merely been an isolated episode in the history of Christian missions and Western colonialism, we in the West would easily be able to dismiss it as such. It seems, however, that God not only wants to direct our attention to this small island, but also to the countless other instances throughout history in which Christians in the West compromised the gospel or turned a blind eye while people in developing nations were deceived and manipulated, had land and other resources stolen from them, and had their legitimately elected leaders overthrown for the benefit of globalist and imperialist interests. As an American, I know I have benefited from a cost perspective by having paid for foods, consumer products, and other items that had been imported from foreign countries well below their fair market value due to the exploitation and impoverishment of the very people who worked hard to produce them.
If the worst colonial practices had all been in the past, we might be able to claim that we’re doing better now. However, what we’re witnessing in our time is as bad as things have ever been. What’s in open view before the world today is not just colonialism or neocolonialism, but outright genocide, fully endorsed by millions of Christians today…
Contemporary Correlations
I've written a lot about astronomy, astrology, and history, but it gets very real when we bring it in to the present time. The theft, the enslavement, the murders, and the needless wars against peace-loving, indigenous people have not ended. What's happening now is much worse than anything that any of the Rapanui people had to endure. The following events all occurred within only 1-9 days of the eclipse:
9/23 Israel begins airstrikes in Lebanon in preparation for ground invasion.
10/1 Israel Defense Forces (IDF) invades Lebanon. The relentless and indiscriminate bombing, even of residential buildings, has caused the displacement of more than 1.2 million people there.
10/1 Iran launches almost 200 missiles against targets in Israel. This overwhelmed Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system and exposed its vulnerabilities.
10/2 Annular solar eclipse over Easter Island.
10/7 One-year anniversary of Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza. This has resulted in the deaths of more than 43,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, not counting those buried under rubble. In addition, 1.9 million people in Gaza have been displaced.
I understand that the Israel’s war against Gaza was in response to Hamas' attack on October 7th, However, to anyone who might think that history essentially began on that date, this is anything but the truth. Hamas’ attack was unjustifiable. However, in the broader context, Israel has enforced an illegal air, sea, and land blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2007, and it launched four military assaults on Gaza between 2008 and 2021. I can't go into the entire history of the conflict because it dates all the way back to 1948. The Palestinian people, as God's image-bearers, are deserving of basic human rights, including the right to self-governance by forming their own nation.
The fact that Iran responded in what many people agree was an impressive manner to previous Israeli aggressions one day before the eclipse tells me that God is taking their side. How could he possibly take the side of a mostly non-Christian nation that specializes in the killing of innocent women and children? According to a US military estimate, Iran has over 3,000 ballistic missiles. The US has also assessed that Iran can quickly build a nuclear weapon if it decides to do so.
Russia may be willing to back up Iran in the event of a war with Israel and the US. China also supports Iran because it receives oil from that country. Syria's former President Bashar al-Assad has recently been deposed, and it is still uncertain to what extent the new leaders there may be willing to cooperate with Israel and the US.
To anyone who might think Israel's military actions are somehow justified under the Christian tradition of just war, Israel has been violating those principles by its disproportionate response to Hamas' attack last October 7th; by targeting and killing innocent Palestinians through collective punishment; by its deliberate targeting of civilian homes, apartment buildings, schools, religious institutions, and hospitals; by the deliberate targeting of journalists and UN peacekeepers; by shooting children and babies in the head; by illegally building Jewish settlements on Palestinian land; by cutting off water and electricity to Gaza; and by preventing the delivery of food and medical supplies in an apparent strategy of genocide through mass starvation. These actions are in direct violation of international law, and some are in violation of US law (making our own arms exports illegal) and the Geneva Convention.
I plan to respond to some of the ways in which Zionist Christians try to biblically defend their unwavering support for Israel regardless of what it does or who it attacks. For now, I've already addressed the topics of Dispensationalism and Christian Zionism in parts 2 and 3 of my book, Return to Genesis, which you can download here.
The divine information and energy that I sense from having studied this eclipse is like this: "The next time anyone thinks they can kill innocent people (including Palestinians), even or especially if they claim to be doing it in my name, I'm going to help them fight back." Even if the US should continue to fully support Israel both militarily and economically, it won’t make any difference.
It would not be unprecedented for God to support a foreign, unbelieving nation in a war with a nation such as the USA, many of whose citizens claim to believe in God, yet who have betrayed his covenant. Ancient Israel and Judah could be expected to lose military battles whenever they fell away from God.
The fact that the US is the main supplier of weapons to Israel makes all Americans more or less complicit in this genocide. Most of us didn't choose to be in this position, but God can release this burden from us if we prayerfully release it to him as often as may be necessary, and also if we're willing to speak out or take action on issues such as this.
Final Thoughts
I know this has been a long read, so I'm grateful if you've made it all the way to the end here.
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand. Zechariah 4:10
Please do not despise this prophetic message simply because this is a fledgling ministry that depends entirely on a small number of readers to spread the word. Know that God often works in small and unexpected ways. As we approach the Christmas holiday, I recall how even our Lord Jesus was at one time completely dependent on other people. Please ask yourself whether or not you think God would want others to read and heed this message. If so, please share it and may God bless you for doing so. Regardless, I plan to continue writing and posting as the Lord leads.
This heavenly signs that God has sent the people of this world are no less meaningful regardless of whether few people or many people read my posts on this topic. Please subscribe for further updates.
You forgot to mention how Hamas brutally attacked Israel.
