Both of these writing tear the erroneous pre tribulation rapture stupidity to shreds. And so have you. Too bad more aren't reading this and realizing that they have been mislead by the charlatans that promote this pansy effeminized churchianity nonsense. I once told a men's group that even if it were true, I'd be holding on to a heavy object with my feet up in the air screaming "LEAVE ME HERE LORD...I WAN TO KICK YOUR ENEMIES ASS!" Good one Martin. Being a Christian soldier doesn't mean having sex change first.
I haven't read those books myself. When I meet a dispensationalist and if they're willling to consider buying a book, I recommend Understanding Dispensationalism by Poythress because it's short, sweet (more respectful to their side than I'm able to be), and hits all the main points.
The rapture doctrine truly is stupid. Normally, I interact with the arguments made by those who take the opposing view, but in this case all I had to do was read 1 and 2 Thessalonians, see the obvious, and write about it. I know there are no logical and Bible-respecting arguments against it, so who cares how they try to explain away God's truth? Even when I was a Dispensationalist, or at least a follower of Dispensationalism, I felt it was all overly complicated and didn't make sense. These teachers turn believers whom God calls to be lions like yourself into whiny little cowards. Yeah, it might be connected to the low testosterone and high estrogen from our diets and the environment, and also the sh*tty economy and low pay. Then again, Hal Lindsey's book came out in 1980, and life was better back then. I can't believe I fell for that crap, but as they say, live and learn.
As a preterist and postmillennialist (sorry, you might have to look up those terms), I thought God was going gradually establish his kingdom on the earth, but I should have known that Satan wouldn't let that happen without putting up a fight. I figure that whatever happens, we'll have, as Charles Dickens said, the best of times and the worst of times. We know who's going to win in the end, and that's all that matters! I'm glad you're ready and rarin' (roarin'?) for the fight. You truly live up to the name, "courageous lion."
I've been working on some posts, even though I haven't published much in a while. One post I was working on (before learning about the Antichrist) is a Bible study on 1 Peter 5:8, in which Peter describes Satan as a roaring lion. I seriously thought I could complete it in one day but it ended up taking over two weeks and going more than 20 pages. I expect, with the Lord's help, to definitely get it out in February, and I really think you'll like it. To give you a clue why, I go beyond the traditional interpretation that Christians are merely helpless lambs in this scenario.
Thank you for the comment and restack. It means a lot to me!
I'm reminded of a couple of books I read years ago. Both of which I still have in my library. The Blessed Hope by George Eldon Ladd https://www.amazon.com/Blessed-Hope-Biblical-Second-Rapture/dp/0802811116 & I Want To Be Left Behind by Pastor Ron Poch https://www.amazon.com/WANT-BEHIND-DEPTH-RAPTURE-Paperback/dp/0971911916
